Agency Project Manager

BRUNNER is an integrated marketing agency with a fast-paced, creative environment. We love big ideas and are looking to add new talent to our team. we are looking for an Agency Project Manager to define, direct and manage the resources and the everyday work of the agency.

Who you need to be: The project manager is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling a large volume of assignments and can both lead a team and act as a team player. The PM consistently looks for improvements in workflow that result in effective and efficient delivery no matter the project type.  

You will need to provide direction and management for every phase of a major projects to make sure we deliver on time and within or below budget. You will partner with Account Directors set and prioritize project goals, craft scopes of work, secure resources and work with subject matter experts to deliver on scopes of work. You may be asked to interact with clients and client partners.

It is expected that you will work with minimal supervision and be responsible for applying advanced Project Management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques move projects through the agency to a successful completion. Your experience in working with all disciplines in an agency and managing integrated projects is critical.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define project scopes, timelines and budgets in close collaboration with project teams; track and report on progress against schedules and budgets and ensure team adheres to project scopes
  • Creation and on-going management of client service (resource) plans.
  • Collaborate with internal team to develop and maintain project documents, including timelines, project status, internal processes and deliverables for each client’s program
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure deliverables are understood and that milestones are met on time and with consistency and accuracy
  • Act as a communication lead by scheduling and leading meetings and preparing internal and external agendas, meeting notes and status reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assures proper project documentation is generated and disseminated
  • Acts as a champion of agency process
  • Plan for and control quality by reviewing items before delivery to client; monitoring and enhancing internal and external deliverables/documents; working with internal teams on needed revisions/modifications/enhancements; and involving the quality assurance team at key project junctures
  • Ensure project team, including Account Directors and executive sponsors, as appropriate, is continually updated on project status, including successes, issues, concerns and feedback
  • Lead by example; display confidence and enthusiasm when communicating to the client and the internal project team; demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
  • Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects
  • Partner with Account Directors in the management of client billing and overall financial management (AR, forecasting etc.) for integrated clients.

 

In addition to displaying an exceptional understanding of Project Management methodologies, you must possess notably strong leadership and communication skills at all levels.   

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A proven history of managing large integrated marketing programs and specific marketing projects across multiple channels (brand development, web, social, SEM, display and video media campaigns including TV, research projects etc.)
  • Worked in an agency environment either traditional or digital
  • A track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Managed and worked with cross-functional teams (creative, strategy, technical, media)
  • The ability to create and follow a well-defined project plan
  • The ability to provide leadership not only to internal teams but to our clients
  • Experience tracking all budget-related information, including billable hours and project expenses
  • Been responsible for the financial success of their projects
  • Superior client facing skills including outstanding verbal and written communication skills

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

Four (4) year college degree or equivalent; (3-5) years of project management experience as a(n) Project Manager/Account Executive in an advertising agency or equivalent responsibility for project coordination and management. At least (2-3) years of relevant digital project management.
