Assistant Media Planner/Buyer

BRUNNER is an integrated marketing agency with a fast-paced, creative environment. We love big ideas and are looking to add new talent to our team. We are searching for an Asssitant Media Planner/Buyer to join our Atlanta team.  This person will be responsible for assisting media planners/buyers on all activities related to key accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Execute or assist with planning research, including:
  • Evaluate competitive spend data
  • Run and evaluae qualitative data such as Simmons or MRI
  • Develop POV documents
  • Gather media contacts and cost information
  • Understand various media and their application against client strategy/goals
  • Actively seek and share knowledge of the latest media trends/events
  • Actively seek and share knowledge of client’s competitive landscape and meaningful changes
  • Assist with data collection for analysis
  • Assist with media buying, including:
  • Input avails and makegoods as requested by planners
  • Help execute buy placement, IO management (including generating print, broadcast and online insertion orders) and internal communication with production, creative and account teams
  • Maintain solid working relationships with media reps
  • Assist with schedule maintenance, including:
    • Work with internal teams and outside sales reps to resolve media billing issues and discrepancies for assigned accounts
    • Create and maintain monthly budget reports for assigned clients
    • Monitor media buys, assists with online reporting and optimization as requested by planners
    • Pull reports from buying system as requested by planners
  • Assist with supervision of media interns and media coordinator training as needed

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-3 years of experience
  • Strong mathematical abilities and computer skills/knowledge including excel, Microsoft word, powerpoint and media buying and research software

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Understanding of corporate communication
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of buying systems such as MRP and/or Strata are a plus.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics and DCM are a plus
  • Ability to think, listen, write, analyze, problem solve, work with others 

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Normal office environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time including extensive use of PC equipment.
